- I can't get this to open / download. I keep being taken to a login page.

- Love this idea. Saves a lot of money, and you can change the properties to something more fun for the kids, like restaurants and store bands, parts of a cartoon, movie or TV show, even a cool wishlist for birthdays and Christmas. Loads of fun, man! You can even replace the markers for cartoon characters or other fictional characters. I would build a stand out of cardstock or recycled cardboard, and cut and paste the marker pics so they would stand on the board. Neat for a learning game, too.
- I never thought of this. Such an awesome Idea with so many opportunities to be creative. Awesome lens.
- No, but it would be fun especially if you created your own town. Growing up in SJ I actually visited some of the places (streets) that the game was designed after originally. Making one to fit your area would also be a great teacher's resource.

- I had no clue that you could make your own version of monopoly. And your lens is so helpful. Thanks very much for sharing all this information. This is one lens that you can actually make money with, all you have to do is print it.. :) Even if it's monopoly money.. :)
- Love this! I am currently working on making a Sight-Wordopoly for my kindergarten classroom! I am making it on 8x11 sheets of paper so I can send games home with students so they can play with their parents and so i can make multiple versions with different sight words. I am having students play with real pretend money, so they may have to pay $2.43 for their sight word. They also go to time our instead of jail. For chance and community chest, I turned it in to 'math it' and 'fix it'. For math it, they have to solve the basic math problem - maybe its just reading a number in the beginning, or doing 1+1. They move the number of spaces of the answer. The fix it card is one that has a sentence with mistakes in it and they have to figure out what the mistakes are to move. Mistakes include capitals, punctuation and misspelling of sight words. The game is played with one die - practicing subitizing here a little bit. You can amp it up later in the year by adding two die. When they land on go, they have to read out all of the words they own. When they land on free parking, they have to count all of their money. This combines reading sight words, counting, money, subitizing, capitalization, punctuation, group work and following directions all into one fun game. They won't even know how much they are learning! And when they think they know it all, it is super easy to change up and make harder as the year progresses!!
- This is a really neat idea! It never would have occurred to me to make my own version of Monopoly.
- I featured this awesome page on Moshi Monsters Monopoly, many thanks!

Monopoly is a classic board game that is played by people all around the world. There are two draw piles in the game, namely Community Chest and Chance. If you lose some of your chance cards, you can make some more of your own to avoid buying a whole new game set.

Get some orange card stock. You can buy card stock at a stationary store or an office supply store. If you already have some Monopoly chance cards, take one to the store with you to find the color that most closely matches the card.
Write out the directions of each chance card using a word processor. The directions on each chance card are as follows: Advance to Go (Collect $200); Advance to Illinois Ave.; Advance token to nearest Utility. If unowned, you may buy it from the Bank. If owned, throw dice and pay owner a total ten times the amount thrown; Advance token to nearest Railroad and pay owner twice the rental to which he/she is otherwise entitled. If Railroad is unowned, you may buy it from the Bank. (Make two copies of this card.); Advance to St. Charles Place - if you pass Go, collect $200; Bank pays you dividend of $50; Get out of Jail free - this card may be kept until needed, or traded; Go back 3 spaces; Go directly to Jail- do not pass Go, do not collect $200; Make general repairs on all your property - for each house pay $25 - for each hotel $100; Speeding Fine $15; Take a trip to Reading Railroad - if you pass Go collect $200; Advance to Boardwalk; You have been elected chairman of the board - pay each player $50; Your building loan matures - collect $150; You have won a crossword competition - collect $100.
Arrange the text for each card so that each set of directions fits within the border of the card. The easiest way to accomplish this is to use a layout such as a business card template. The size of the chance cards that come with the Monopoly board game is 3 7/16 inches by 2 7/32 inches.
Print and cut out the cards. Once you’ve finalized the template for the chance cards, print them out on your card stock. If your template prints card boarders, simply along the borders to create the individual cards. If there are no boarders on the printout, just measure and draw your own. The easiest way to do this is to measure them out on one sheet and then stack and cut all your sheets together.
